A word of welcome from our priest, the Rev. BJ Heyboer
Greetings from the Episcopal Churches of Newaygo County: St. John’s Fremont and St. Mark’s Newaygo. We’re glad you found us here. Our two parishes have partnered together to serve God and serve others. As members of the Episcopal branch of the Jesus movement, we affirm that the Church’s mission is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 855). We practice being people of reconciliation in ways of being and doing; we pray and sing and worship together; we participate in the sacraments of the Church with one another; we share life together, working for justice and peace; and we have lots of fun along the way. But don’t take my word for it—come and see for yourself! You are welcome to join us for worship or for anything else we do together. In Fremont at St. John’s, our Sunday liturgy begins at 8:45 a.m. In Newaygo at St. Mark’s, our Sunday liturgy begins at 11:00 a.m. Check out our calendar of events here (link to website calendar) Wherever you are on your journey with God and God’s people, the Episcopal Churches of Newaygo County welcome you.
